Group Dog Obedience Training

GROUP CLASSES

Group Classes are a cost-effective way to begin training your dog in basic obedience and manners, with multiple benefits.

With less than 10 dogs in each group class, you will have built in, controlled, distractions of other dogs and people. Want a training touch up in the future? Our group classes also come with an Open Door policy. After finishing a group class, you can return to a future class with the same dog, at no additional charge to keep up your training.

CLASSES OFFERED

PUPPY CLASS

For puppies approximately 10-16 weeks of age-structured around a combination of AKC STAR program and preparation for our Basic Obedience and Manners class, to build engagement with your puppy, teach them how to learn and socialize them around other people and their pups…

BASIC OBEDIENCE + MANNERS CLASS

For dogs approximately 20 weeks + to learn the essential commands. Along with manners, you will learn to shape your dog into a trust-worthy, well-behaved member of the family. Our Basic Obedience class is a pre-requisite for our Intermediate and Canine Good Citizen classes.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS

Incorporates focus and distance work using hand commands to continue to build trust and engagement between handler and dog to further build on our Basic Obedience and Manners class skill set. This class is a foundation for reliable off-leash work with your dog.

AKC’S CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC) CLASS

Sure, you can just wing it and take the CGC test, but if you want to practice skills and build trustworthiness in your dog, join us for this CGC prep class. This class will build on foundational obedience skills prepares the dog-handler team to meet AKC’s criteria for Canine Good Citizens. Successfully passing the CGC test is important for owners wanting to do Therapy/Service Dog work. We highly recommend that dogs complete our Basic Obedience class prior to beginning the CGC group class.

ROCKIN’ RECALL CLASS

How reliable is your dog to come when you call them? Maybe you have not practiced this much after your Basic Obedience class or maybe you have just realized this can be a life-saving skill for your dog. This is a focused class to coach owners on how to build a reliable off-leash recall with their dog.

SCENTSATIONAL SNIFFERS CLASS

A fun way to engage your dog’s nose. This provides both mental and physical exercise for your dog. Focusing on a healthy outlet for their instinctual traits.

CONFIDENCE IN MOTION CLASS

Opens the owners’ mind to a variety of ways to build confidence and engagement. All while providing an avenue for both the mental and physical exercise release for your dog.

LOOSE LEASH WALKING CLASS

This class establishes a strong relationship with your dog and the quality of their walks. In addition, this class teaches you to value the importance of rewarding good behavior.

DO MORE WITH YOUR DOG

Join our staff in weekly activities to take the training you have done with our trainers to the next level, applying it to real world activities, such as hikes, pack walks, obedience exercises and confidence building activities.
